I honestly couldn't put this book down. Angela, a former Mennonite who was excommunicated from her church, finds peace in her life again as she struggles with living in a world of lies and abuse. She seems to never catch a break in a world where she feels unloved and unwanted. Soon she finds that things never stay that way if God has a say in them. Her story is one of redemption, life, and being able to breathe in a world that once suffocated you. There is forgiveness and healing in the world if we are brave enough to seek it.

I really enjoyed this book and the world it opened up to. It was like living in the same place as Angela but not at the same time. There is so much heart and lots of unexpected twists and turns in this story and it's hard not to be sucked in! Wrought with pain, joy, humor, and anticipation, I think that this book is one of my new, and very surprising favorites!
