The Thomas Family is at war. Alex, back from his mission in Germany, is training as a paratrooper, Wally is a Prisoner of War in Bataan, Bobbi is a nurse on a navy ship and even the youngest son Gene, knows that he must enlist to help his family. Will they all survive this war and the trials that face them now and will their faith endure?
I gave it a 4/5 because there is a scene of sexual assault between two characters, there's a lot of violence and it begins to show the graphic side of war that some readers may not find too easy to read. It is a great book and I would read it again though!
