References to: A noose, animal injury, faith, blended families.
This is a poem/story that illustrates the challenges of getting along with someone different than you. It shares the challenges of bringing in new family members and accepting them for being who they are.
I gave this 4/5 because the noose reference in a children's book is not something I would have put in as a parent. Also, the illustrations is half art, half real and half photo shopped which is all over the place. There are also some parts of the story where you lose the flow of the poem. But aside from that, it is a good kids book that, once cleaned up some, could be a popular book!
