Elder Alex Thomas is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Germany. He meets a young family with a daughter Anna and helps her and their family to convert to the church. Not long after their baptisms, World War 2 breaks out through his area. He now must avoid an S.S. officer, Heir Kellerman, known only for cruelty and hate, help families escape, and then get out of Germany himself, before he is captured by Kellerman for teaching religion. Will he and his companion escape on time?

Great story, lots of excitement from page one. It really opens up what it was like at the start of the war and how many people were affected even if they weren't considered the enemy. It was a real eye opener. I gave it a 5 star rating because this book was just that amazing! I loved it!
